I have been wanting to develop a doll pattern of my own for a while, so what better time than for a Handmade Swap. Part of the swap was to take pictures of the process. It has been fun, however I have forgotten to take a few pics. It is hard to stop and grab the camera when you are on a creative roll. LOL
She is turning out smaller than I had wanted, and there are a few little imperfections. I may keep this prototype and make a new one for my swap partner. Do you think small imperfections give a handmade item more personality? (I am too much of a perfectionist I think to leave it.)

Hey, I am in that swap! Wouldn't that have been fun if we had gotten each other!I can't believe you have already gotten yours! It looks like fun, makes me want to make some bean bags. I love your doll, she is going to be wonderful! and I love imperfections!
I'm in the swap too, and I am exercising the right of handmade to look handmade.
I realized that I sewed my doll's dress inside out, but you have to look really hard to see it, so I am going to run with it...
Hi Gail, thanks for visiting my first blog.
I try to have a merry heart and do what brings joy to me :)
Btw, your kid should be happy to have their mom's handmade doll, cute!
I love imperfections!
I think imperfections are great! Very unique and special. And most of the time, no one else notices.
