Teach me to sew

Gina has been wanting to learn how to sew. She was ecstatic when we started these simple shapes to practice her running stitch. At 4 she has caught the bug! She has made a heart and a star. She tells me she wants to make a triangle next. It is so cute when she goes to get her embroidery hoop she says, "I have to work on my sewing." Such determination and pride of her finished work. I am thinking of making her creations in to some special keepsake for her. I am not sure what yet, a quilt maybe. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Awww, how sweet! I hope my little girl will want to sew when she is older too.

Keeping her creations is a fantastic idea. I think quilt is a good one. I can think of wall hanging too.

I am waiting for Spenser to be old enough for me to teach her to sew.

You could make a doll quilt (I see Yvonne suggested a wall hanging already, that was another one I was going to say) or a pillow.
